People on the British Islas definitely favor cricket over softball, which is reflected by the ambitions of the British team in Most. While the senior team, thanks to the country’s membership in the Commonwealth of Nations - regularly picks up players from traditional softball powerhouses such as Canada, or New Zealand, and competes for medals at European Championships, the junior squad usually ranks among outsiders. The Britons started at 5 of the 8 tournaments held so far, never finishing better than on the last-but-one place. They suffered a blow out at the previous tournament in Stenlose, Denmark, where they never lasted more than 4 innings, and where they got pummeled by the Czechs 39:0, a record result for the tournament. In Most, we will have a chance to see how much the team has improved.
