Trailing only to the Czech Republic, the Danish are the second most successful teams at European Championship. At the tournaments held so far, they did not make the final game only once. They won gold in 2004 in Paris, and in 2009 in Ledenice, since when they have always been defeated by the Czechs. Still, Denmark belongs among top European softball powerhouses, which should be backed up by the results of the junior squad this year. Same as the Czechs, the Danes want to clinch a spot at the Worlds‘ next year, even though some players on this years‘ roster will be too old to attend the tournament next year.
