The team from the Balkan Peninsula first appeared in 2006, and since then they have become regular participants in the European Championship. In the narrow field of teams that attend the European Championship, they are the biggest contender for bronze, which they managed to win in the past two installments. The Croats can be expected to square off with Team Israel for the bronze medals this year. It would be a big surprise if they were to reach the Grand Final, but nobody expects the team to blow up either.
